Eric Garcia is the Founder of Harvest Growth Capital LLC, a venture capital firm that specializes in making investments in innovative, high growth companies.
Harvest Growth Capital has successfully executed over 100 private transactions across a variety of high-growth companies. Many of these transactions provided liquidity to private company shareholders and require discretion, therefore the current investment portfolio is not publicly disclosed. A sampling of previous investments by Harvest Growth Capital include: HomeAway (IPO; later acquired by Expedia), ExactTarget (IPO; later acquired by Salesforce), AppDynamics (acquired by Cisco), MongoDB (IPO), Apptio (IPO), Demand Media (IPO), Trulia (IPO; later acquired by Zillow), OPower (IPO; later acquired by Oracle), TargusInfo (acquired by NeuStar), MedeAnalytics (acquired by Thoma Bravo), among many others.
Prior to founding HGC, Mr. Garcia was an investment professional with Austin Ventures, where he focused on growth equity investments in technology-enabled companies and helped lead new investments in several late-stage companies, including CreditCards.com (acquired by BankRate, NYSE: RATE).
Prior to joining Austin Ventures, Mr. Garcia was an investment professional at Technology Crossover Ventures in Palo Alto, CA. At TCV, Mr. Garcia focused on late-stage technology and information services companies and helped lead investments in NexTag (acquired by Providence Equity), Redback Networks (NASDAQ: RBAK, later acquired by Ericsson, NASDAQ: ERIC), RiskMetrics Group (NYSE: RMG, later acquired by MSCI, NYSE: MSCI), SolArc (acquired by OpenLink), BeVocal (acquired by Nuance Communications, NASDAQ: NUAN), HomeGain (acquired by Classified Ventures), Whitepages.com (management buyout) and Fiberlink Communications (acquired by IBM, NYSE: IBM).
Previously, Mr. Garcia was a founding member of Hostcentric, Inc., where he worked in various roles within finance, business development, and strategy. Hostcentric was acquired by Web.com Group, NASDAQ: WWWW. Prior to Hostcentric, Mr. Garcia was an analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Merrill Lynch where he worked with companies in the Internet, hardware equipment, and services sectors on a variety of strategic advisory assignments and M&A transactions.
